Careers Guidance in Schools and Colleges

The Career Development Institute (CDI) commissioned David Andrews to write a best practice guide for schools and colleges on commissioning career guidance services. It includes a series of templates to help schools work through the commissioning process in a structured way. The guide also includes sections on the CDI and the UK Register of Career Development Professionals.

The CDI are also running a programme of four regional conferences on 16th September (London), 18th September (York), 23rd September (Bridgwater) and 1st October (Birmingham) on strengthening careers education and guidance in schools and colleges with support from Inspiring the Future. The focus of these events is on the revised Statutory Guidance, the commissioning guide, the government's Inspiration Vision, and employer engagement.

A new community within CDI for careers educators working in schools and colleges will be launched at these events
