Welcome back to Cegnet

Cegnet is back with a fresh new look and new features to help practitioners keep up to date with developments in the careers sector and to find useful information and resources.

For those not familiar with Cegnet it is an independent and free online resource for teachers and careers professionals delivering careers education and information, advice and guidance (IAG). It also reaches out to employers and business organisations, HE and other education providers and youth and community organisations contributing to the career development of young people in schools and colleges.

Sign up for our free regular e-newsletters and join in the discussions on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and on our blog. We welcome your comments and suggestions about how to meet your needs; and we particularly welcome offers to write for cegnet and to contribute resources that you are willing to share with other practitioners.

Feel free to drop us a line on: info@cegnet.co.uk.

Really pleased to see this is being continued. Cegnet has been a ‘lifeline’ for practitioners to keep up to date on national and regional matters through its newsletters, interpreting policy into practice and by providing real solutions for those delivering careers and work related education, information, advice and guidance.

Thanks, Kath. I’m looking forward to working with you on putting Chris Thomas’s careers resources on the members area of the CDI website.

Thanks, Liz. Cegnet is a place where we can share resources. If you’ve produced a lesson plan or a handout for students or staff that you’re willing to share, we’d be delighted to publish it. Then when others reciprocate, hopefully you’ll get something you can use in an assembly or tutor group meeting, etc.!

Delighted to see that CEGNET is back with a new lease of life.  Is this the one example of ‘the Big Society’ actually working? Since is was first launched by the Government over 10 years ago, Cegnet has provided an invaluable means of keeping up to date and sharing resources.  Everyone involved in careers education and guidance should add it to their favourites and click on the link once a week.

Great to see Cegnet back. I dipped into it on a weekly basis before and always found useful materials. Welcome back.
